Liverpool Cathedral celebrated its centenary year in 2024. As part of its commemorations, the Cathedral looked further at its contested heritage and uncovered its connections to the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans.
2025 marked 250 years since St James in the City first opened its doors in Liverpool. To mark this significant milestone, the church is inviting the wider community to join in a weekend of events, including a powerful and thought-provoking gathering that explores its history.
St Bride’s is now the third church to participate in the Diocese of Liverpool’s Slavery Truth Project, an initiative that unveils the horrors of Liverpool’s slaving past as well as the hope for repentance and repair.
